Yes, you can use your webcam to take a photo! Just make sure it meets the minimum quality needed for a professional headshot.

⚠️ Important:
Many built-in or older webcams produce low-resolution images, which can lead to blurry or pixelated results. For the best outcome, use a webcam that captures in HD (at least 1080p).

Photo Tips When Using a Webcam:

  • Use a room with plenty of natural light — facing a window is ideal.
  • Stand in front of a neutral, uncluttered background that contrasts with your hair.
  • Keep the camera at eye level, and take the photo straight on — no filters, no awkward angles.
  • Check your webcam app settings and choose the highest resolution available.
  • Take a few test shots and review them before uploading.

⚠️ Tip:
If your photo looks dark, grainy, or blurry, try adjusting your lighting or consider using your phone’s rear camera instead.
