What to Know About Your Photo Resubmission

If you received a resubmit request, it means your photo didn’t meet standards needed to produce a high quality headshot. To ensure every headshot looks polished and consistent, our Quality Check team may ask you to submit a new photo if something needs adjustment.

Common reasons for resubmission include:

  • Lighting issues: Dim or uneven lighting can create shadows that obscure your facial features.
  • Selfies or cropped images: We require your full upper torso and both arms to be visible. Selfies or photos that cut off parts of your body won’t meet our standards.
  • Using the front-facing camera: Front cameras often produce grainy images. For best results, use your phone’s rear camera at the highest resolution.
  • Heavy filters: Filters can distort your natural appearance. We prioritize authentic, clean images. If you want edits, you can request them after delivery through our 30-Day Happiness Guarantee.
  • Standing too far from the camera: Photos taken from too far away may become pixelated when zoomed in during editing.
  • Hair blending into the background: When your hair color closely matches your background, it’s hard to separate it cleanly. Please choose a background that contrasts with your hair.
